The first lady of New York City Chirlane McCray, along with women.nyc and the American Association of University Women, launched the first "Ask For More" salary negotiation workshop in the Bronx Tuesday.

The workshop will train 10,000 New York City women and give them the skills they need to negotiate their salary and benefits, and advocate for promotions and leadership opportunities.

The initiative is all part of New York City's commitment to close the gender wage pay gap.
