As COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the boroughs, the city’s Health Department is recommending that people wear masks while in crowded outdoor areas and indoor public settings.
In a recent Twitter post, they suggested that people wear high quality masks like an N95, KN95 or KF94 MASK. For added protection, they recommend wearing a cloth mask over a disposable mask.
This comes after state city data revealed a 15.4% positivity rate over the last several days.
The Health Department is also reported nearly 17,000 positive cases in Downtown Brooklyn and almost 25,000 positive cases in the Parkchester section of the Bronx.
