New York City has expanded eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine booster, the city's health commissioner announced Monday.
Dr. Dave Chokshi said he issued a commissioner's advisory to all health care providers in the city emphasizing guidance and ensuring there are no barriers for anyone who wants the COVID-19 booster.
Chokshi
wrote online, "Clinicians should allow adult patients to determine their own risk of exposure, based on their individual circumstances. In practice, this means that providers should not turn a patient away if they request a booster."
