City lawmakers are now cracking down on gun violence even further by setting boundaries for the Times Square gun-free zone.
Times Square was declared a gun-free zone since the start of this month, but the bill was officially passed Wednesday banning most guns in the area.
The New York City Council also set a zone, which goes from West 40th Street to West 53rd Street and 6th Avenue to 9th Avenue, that includes the Port Authority terminal.
This comes after the supreme court struck down the state's gun laws making it difficult for New Yorkers to carry a handgun in public.
