NYC public school chancellor testifies to Congress over rise in antisemitism in schools

New York City Public School Chancellor David Banks was on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning testifying on his response to antisemitism within the public school system.

As leader of the country's largest school system, Chancellor Banks testified that nearly a dozen staff members and school leaders have been disciplined.

At least 30 students have been suspended as a result of antisemitism-related incidents.

Antisemitism has increased across the United States since the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
