The restaurant capacity for indoor dining will increase to 75% in New York City Friday, bringing the city in line with the rest of the state.
The capacity has been at 50% -- but one restaurant manager says the increase won't make much difference.
"Yeah, 75%, we won't really be able to increase revenue for the restaurant just because we don't have the space to do it," said Cheri Slavens, the manager of Chavelas. The eatery is a boutique-sized restaurant serving authentic Mexican food.
Earlier in the week, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced outdoor dining curfews will end May 17, with indoor dining curfews ending May 31.
