Some NYCHA tenants in Mott Haven called for better living conditions during a protest at the Patterson Houses Saturday.
Tenants say conditions inside their building include widespread mold, chronic plumbing issues and inconsistent heating and hot water.
NYCHA responded to the outrage in a statement, saying in part: "After decades of disinvestment from the government, the authority has been forced to do much more with less as our aging buildings continue to decay."
Mayoral candidate Rev. Michel Faulkner doesn't buy that argument.

"I don't think it's a lack of money... [It's] lack of a coordinated effort," said Faulkner.
