Firefighters respond to basement fire in Kingsbridge
1h agoAt least one person is dead after they were involved in a Bronx car crash this morning, police say.
Officers say a BMW struck an SUV on East 161st Street and River Avenue just in front of Yankee Stadium.
A 69-year-old woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles, and later rushed to Lincoln Medical Center in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
There were three people in the BMW who fled on foot right after the collision.
Police are still investigating.
