Suspect charged in violent beating of MTA bus driver in Yonkers

Police say a man is in the hospital following an early morning shooting in West Farms.

According to the NYPD, a man in his 20s was shot in the leg outside the McDonald's parking lot on Devoe and East Tremont avenues just before 3 a.m. Based on what News 12 saw at the scene, the victim may have been shot and ran away leaving a trail of bloody footprints.

First responders rushed the victim to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

The whereabouts of the shooter are unknown.
