NYPD: 12-year-old girl, 3 others injured in Mount Hope shooting; shooter at large

Four people, including a 12-year-old girl, are now recovering at a hospital following a Sunday shooting in Mount Hope, police say.

The NYPD says the young girl, along with a 35-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, were taken to St. Barnabas with gunshot wounds before 10 p.m. Moments later, a 22-year-old man walked into Bronx Lebanon Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police say the 12-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder, the 35-year-old woman was shot in the foot and the 23-year-old man was shot in the leg. The injuries of the 22-year-old man have not been disclosed, but all victims are listed in stable condition.

It’s unclear what led to the exchange of gunfire along Eastburn Avenue, according to the police.

The whereabouts of the shooter are currently unknown.
