They say it happened on Boyd Avenue around 4:20 p.m.
The 7-year-old was transported to the hospital for evaluation and was in stable condition as of Saturday night.
The 12-year-old girl who died suffered burns to her body.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Saturday night.
