Police said a 15-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot following an argument on a BX25 MTA bus Sunday afternoon in Morrisania.
Police say they responded to calls of a shooting at 168th Street and Park Avenue after 4 p.m.
Witnesses told News 12 a fight broke out amongst a group of four young boys. That argument quickly turned violent.
"The little one took the gun and shot him. I screamed and closed my eyes," said a witness who did not want to be identified.
She said she sat merely feet away from the group of boys.
"I thought I was going to die because it was very close to me," she said.
Witnesses at the bus stop said they saw people running off the bus. They recounted hearing multiple gun shots.
Police said the 15 year-old-boy was shot in the arm.
The young boy was taken to Harlem Hospital.
Police described the shooter at large as a 15- to 20-year-old male last seen wearing gray shorts, heading eastbound on Park Avenue.
