NYPD: 18-year-old fatally shot in Tremont
Authorities say it happened at the intersection of East Tremont Avenue and Park Avenue.

An 18-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Tremont, according to police.
Police found the teenager with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. EMS transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Resident Benny Tiano was shocked to hear the news.
"It's a terrible thing to have to wake up to as a parent," says Tiano. "A loss of life is never good, especially when it probably could've been avoided."
There have not been any arrests as of Sunday morning.
