6h agoThe NYPD confirmed that a car crash on Bronxdale Avenue sent two people to the hospital on Friday night.
A male driver in a Lexus truck lost control and ended up on the sidewalk on the corner of Cruger and Bronxdale avenues.
The FDNY says the incident took place around 6:30 p.m., when a 59-year-old woman was struck by the Lexus. She was rushed to Jacobi Hospital and is currently in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Witnesses say bystanders had to lift the woman struck by the Lexus off of a fence and assist her until EMS arrived.
