Police investigate carjacking incident near Yonkers gas station

Police say a shooting in Brownsville left a 19-year-old and a 33-year-old bystander injured on Saturday.

Police were called to 389 Amboy St. at the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and Strauss Street.

Police say they found a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg who was taken to Brookdale hospital in stable condition.

A 33-year-old woman was also struck but refused medical treatment.

The intersection remained closed for multiple hours as police investigated the area.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday night.
