Two people were shot in separate incidents just minutes apart Wednesday morning in Brownsville, police say.
The NYPD says a 20-year-old woman was shot in the leg around 1:40 a.m. at the corner of Livonia Avenue and Bristol Street. Police say a person is in custody but hasn't been charged at this time.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg a block away and around the corner on Chester Street roughly 30 minutes later. No arrests have been made in that case.
Both victims are in stable condition. It's unclear what led to either of the shootings or if they're connected.
