The NYPD is investigating two separate shootings that occurred overnight in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
Detectives say a 62-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the leg on Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville around 1 a.m. Friday. Thee have been no arrests in this incident at this time.
Around the same time, police say a 21-year-old woman was also shot in the leg in the Melrose section of the Bronx. She was sent to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Police are asking anyone with information on either shooting to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-577 TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
