Officials said a man succumbed to his injuries after police found him stabbed multiple times in West Farms.

At 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, emergency personnel said they responded to calls of a young man critically injured on E 178th Street. At the scene, they said they found a 22-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen, chest, back and arm.

Police said the person was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.

Sources confirmed it was an argument that lead to the fatal stabbing.

At the scene, News 12 witnessed blocks of crime scene tape, as well as dry blood stains on the ground.

Investigators were reportedly looking into a motor vehicle incident a block away in connection to the 22-year-old's death.

One man who spoke with News 12 off camera, said he grew up with the victim. He claimed to have seen the 22-year-old an hour before he died.

"I can't believe that's the last time I'll ever see him," he cried.

No arrests have been made.
