NYPD: 23-year-old man fatally shot in Queens; no arrests

Officers responded to a 911 call about a man shot near Selover Road and Merrick Boulevard around 2 a.m.

The NYPD says a 23-year-old man was shot and killed overnight in Queens.
Officers responded to a 911 call about a man shot near Selover Road and Merrick Boulevard around 2 a.m.
When they arrived at the scene, police saw the man on the ground unconscious with gunshot wounds to his torso in front of 126-19 Merrick Blvd.
EMS brought the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made yet.
Police have not released the name of the victim and say his identity is pending proper family notification.
