The NYPD is searching for a man they said raped and robbed a 23-year-old woman at knifepoint in Throgs Neck.

It happened just before midnight on Thursday at 2751 Sampson Ave., which is located within the Throgs Neck NYCHA Houses.

Police said a man in his 30s pulled a knife on the victim, raped her, stole her cellphone, purse and about $120, before taking off.

As of Friday afternoon, it was unclear if the attack happened inside or outside of the building.

Maria Robles, who lives nearby, said this was the second sexual assault within the last month.

Robles told News 12 she witnessed several police officers inside of the building next door, 2755 Sampson Ave., but News 12 was not able to confirm the second incident with police on Friday.

“New things are happening around here,” Robles said. “I believe it’s because of new people around here. I’ve been here for like 30 years, and I raised my daughter here.”

Police said the woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

NYCHA declined to comment and referred News 12 to the NYPD, which said the investigation is ongoing.
