NYPD: 26-year-old man shot 4 times; 4 suspects at large in Mott Haven

Police say four men in connection to the shooting are on the loose.

Police say a man was shot four times early Tuesday morning in Mott Haven.
According to the NYPD, a 26-year-old man was shot four times in his leg just before 3:30 a.m. in the area of Walton Avenue by East 149th Street.
Exclusive surveillance video obtained by News 12 shows the moments that the shooting took place. Muzzle flashes are seen as four shots struck the man. Another video angle from the scene shows dozens of people fleeing towards East 149th Street.
Nearby residents who didn't hear the incident unfold tell News 12 they aren't surprised something like this happened in the area - they say that nearby parties have been going on since January and have completely changed the neighborhood.
One resident who wants to remain anonymous says that the parties are almost nightly and that they often include drug use and gambling happening in the streets.
A total of nine shell casings were found on the scene by police. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
