A 6-year-old boy and two men in their 20s were shot in Kingsbridge Heights and a 3-year-old was grazed by a bullet on Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
Authorities say that the 6-year-old was shot once in the leg. One of the two men, age 25, was shot once in the back. The other, age 23, was shot twice in the thigh. The 3-year-old was grazed by a bullet in the leg.
In an NYPD press conference, officials stated that the 6-year-old and 3-year-old are brothers, and that the 23-year-old and 25-year-old are cousins.
The incident took place just before 6 p.m. outside of 25 East 193rd Street in the Bronx, according to police.
All three shooting victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. They are expected to survive.
Officers at the scene say that the suspects are two men who were seen fleeing the scene on a moped at the end of St. James Park.
No arrests have been made at this time.
