The NYPD says a 30-year-old man was slashed just around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

The slashing happened at 3660 Tremont Ave., according to police.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a man wearing a baseball cap, blue jeans and a black shirt. They say he fled in a car in an unknown direction.

It was not immediately clear what led to the slashing.
