Police have identified the victim in Thursday's fatal shooting as 32-year-old Xavier Goodson.

Investigators said Goodson was shot inside of his Wakefield home at East 231st Street.

Detectives said they responded to calls of a shooting at that address shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police, upon arrival, they found Goodson unconscious with a gunshot wound to both his abdomen and head.

Goodson was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators say the shooter took off.

They currently don't have any suspects in custody.
