Officers say that a 40-year-old man was robbed and shot on Aug. 5 in the Bronx.
According to authorities, the incident happened on Webster Avenue and East 173rd Street, where the victim was approached by four individuals on motorcycles. One of the suspects approached the 40-year-old man with a gun in an attempt to take the victim's chain.
The victim resisted and a struggle ensued, in which the chain fell to the ground and was taken by the suspect. The suspect with the gun then shot the victim once in the shoulder and once in the right leg. The four suspects fled eastbound on East 173rd Street towards Park Avenue.
The victim was taken to SBH Health System and is now in stable condition.
