Police tell News 12 it happened on a handball court around 5:45 p.m. in Lincoln Terrace Park.
Police say they found a 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
Police are searching for the shooter who they believe was wearing a black hoodie and took off running.
This shooting comes just a little more than a month after another deadly shooting at Lincoln Terrace Park.
An NYPD spokesperson could not confirm whether or not they believe there's any connection.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
