Police say an elderly victim was brutally beaten while sitting in her car Monday in the Bronx.

According to the NYPD, a 60-year-old woman was sitting in her black Toyota RAV4 on Steenwick Avenue at around 1 p.m. when a man opened the driver-side door and ripped her out of the vehicle.

The suspect threw punches and kicks at the woman while she was on the ground before getting into the car and driving away.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect is still at large.
