NYPD: 73-year-old woman fatally struck by car in Midwood
Police say the woman was in the intersection of East 12th Street and Avenue L when a Jeep Grand Cherokee turned left into the intersection and struck her.

Police say a 73-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a car as she crossed the street Sunday evening in Midwood.
Police say the woman was in the intersection of East 12th Street and Avenue L when a Jeep Grand Cherokee turned left into the intersection and struck her.
Traffic was cut off in all four directions of the intersection as police were on scene.
A News 12 crew observed officers taking photos of a Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle that was parked nearby, as well as shopping bags that were left in the intersection.
Police had not announced as of Sunday night charges against the driver, who they say stayed on the scene.
