The annual NYPD Sleigh Ride made a stop in Concourse Village on Saturday.
Neighbors waited in line to meet the officers dressed as superheroes and princesses and pick up gifts for the holidays.
"It feels good. My kids are happy. I’m happy," said Felicia Mensah.
The mother of four said she was worried she wouldn't be able to afford gifts for her kids this year.
"Without this, I don't know what I would have done to get presents for my kids. It's hard," she said.
NYPD Assistant Commissioner Alden Foster said each stop is an opportunity to strengthen connections with neighbors.
"Every location that we've hit is a community-based organization that we work with…So when we talk about public safety as a shared responsibility, this sleigh ride is a perfect example of us working with the community," he said.
NYPD told News 12 the sleigh ride has several stops scheduled over the next few days.
