Police say they now believe two recent armored truck robberies in the Bronx are part of a pattern.
The NYPD released a photograph of the suspect's vehicle Wednesday in the most recent robbery. It's a four-door sedan with tinted windows. They also say the suspect was wearing a suit during the robbery. The incident occurred Tuesday outside EG Money Service at 1471 Westchester Ave. Police say two workers were putting money inside the vehicle when a man approached them with a gun and demanded the cash. Officials say the suspect opened fire on the Rapid Armored truck employees and stole $78,000.
Police say on Dec. 4, a Loomis armored vehicle was robbed by a man exiting the bank on Westchester and Ward avenues. They say the gunman demanded the driver's bag of cash and pistol.
