Police said Saturday they arrested the man who is responsible for Thursday's fatal subway stabbing in Morris Heights.
The deadly attack happened at the 176th Street station.
Police arrested and charged 27-year-old Saquan Lemons with the murder of 38-year-old Charles Moore.
After reviewing surveillance video, they said he is the man who walked up behind Moore as he exited the station Thursday night and stabbed him multiple times in an unprovoked attack.
Moore was rushed to the hospital Thursday night but died Friday morning.
Lemons was taken into custody at the 46th Precinct. He faces charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
This violent and deadly attack comes on the heels of a spike in transit crime. On Thursday, two other riders were also attacked with weapons in both Brooklyn and Harlem. No arrests have been made.
Police said Friday their focus is proactivity and increased patrols.
