Police say the man was riding his bike at around 6 a.m. when the driver hit him. The impact dragged him from 161st to 160th streets.
The driver of the Jeep fled the scene and is still on the run, according to authorities.
Residents in the community say the victim was frequently seen making deliveries on his bike.
