Bronx NYPD officers held their second annual Girls Empowerment Day Monday.
It happened at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club on Randall Avenue.
The event pairs female NYPD officers as mentors with girls aged 12 to 17 for various activities ranging from basketball to self-defense.
There were also group discussions on domestic violence, breast cancer and bullying.
