Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said Monday that the NYPD is prepared for the challenge of gang violence in the city.
He says the threat has changed since his first go as commissioner in the mid-1990s, but the department is adapting accordingly.
By tracking social media, Bratton says police have identified 375 gangs across New York City.
He says the NYPD is also working with an outreach group known as NYC Ceasefire.
