NYPD: Crash in Fordham leaves 2 men dead

The BMW spun out and struck a train pillar, destroying the vehicle.

An early morning crash in Fordham left two passengers dead, the NYPD said.

The incident happened just after 4 a.m. Police say a BMW traveling down Jerome Avenue struck a Nissan Rouge that was coming down East Fordham Road.

The BMW spun out and struck a train pillar, destroying the vehicle. Two passengers inside were pronounced dead. Police say they were males in their 20s.

Police say there were three passengers in the other vehicle who are expected to be OK. Everyone involved was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital.

Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash.
