NYPD: Death of 4-year-old Brooklyn boy deemed a homicide

Police investigating the homicide of a 4-year-old boy in Brooklyn are looking into the possibility that he was abused.
Police identified the boy as Aisyn Gonzalez.
Police are still trying to figure out what unfolded that killed Gonzalez, with what sources call physical and sexual trauma.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a 911 call at the home and say the little boy was unresponsive. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sources say the boy's mother and her boyfriend told investigators that he had been throwing up the night before. When they went to check on him, they saw he wasn't breathing.
But at the hospital, sources say they discovered the boy had extensive injuries to his head and ribs, sexual trauma, and clear signs that he had been abused over an extensive period of time.
Police say the Medical Examiner's Office ruled Gonzalez's death as a homicide.
News 12 is told both the mother and the boyfriend were questioned.
No one has been charged with anything as of yet.
