2ds agoA decomposed body was found under a boardwalk in Coney Island
late Monday night.
Police tell News 12 three homeless men discovered the body, which
was wearing men's shorts and a tank top, under the boardwalk near West Fifth
Street and Surf Avenue at around 11:30 p.m.
The body had duct tape over its mouth and its hands were bound.
The beach where the body was found has been closed now for the
season.
The city’s medical examiner will do an autopsy to determine the
identity and cause of death. The case remains an ongoing investigation.
