NYPD: Detective charged for sexual conduct against a child

Police say the investigation is being conducted by internal affairs.

NYPD Detective Johnson Franco has been charged with sexual abuse and other counts, according to the NYPD. 
Police say two victims, both identified as females, are related to the 42-year-old detective. 
Police say the detective is charged with six counts of sexual abuse, two counts of course of sexual conduct against a child, and two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child. Franco was suspended without pay.
There is no information on the relationship of the women to the detective at this time, according to police. 
Police say the investigation is being conducted by internal affairs. 
Franco's bail was set in the amount of $50,000 cash, $75,000 bond or $125,000 partially secured bond at 10%. The case was adjourned to March 31.
