A FedEx worker is body slammed then robbed while delivering a package in Kingsbridge Tuesday, the NYPD says.
Police say it happened around 3 p.m. The unknown man got into a fight with the 34-year-old FedEx worker before ripping a package he was trying to deliver out of his hands.
This is the second time in less than two months a delivery driver has been robbed in the Bronx. The first time happened back in August in Pelham Gardens.
News 12 reached out to FedEx for an interview and they responded with a written statement:
“The security of our customers’ shipments is our top priority. We regularly work with law enforcement on security matters, and we encourage any customer who believes a shipment has been stolen to immediately contact police. Additionally, FedEx offers customers innovative visibility technologies to give our customers added peace of mind when it comes to the reliable delivery of their packages. Tools such as FedEx Delivery Manager, Estimated Delivery Time Window, and the FedEx mobile app offer customers more control over the timing and location of their deliveries.”
