The countdown to Christmas is on, and the NYPD is helping out Santa Claus by giving out a few presents early.  

Santa and his police helpers arrived on their sleigh float to give out presents in Brownsville on Thursday, bringing Christmas spirit and cheer.  

News 12’s Mary-Lyn Buckley spoke with some of the kids and officers about how the event got them in the holiday spirit.
