NYPD hosts baby shower for new parents
Parents got a helping hand from the NYPD Sunday with a baby shower filled with free items.
The Eastwood Manor was transformed for the event, which was spearheaded by Det. Fred Washington. He says he saw a great need in the community.
Emblem Health, Boost Mobile, the city's Early Intervention program and more had booths at the manor. Those attending also had the chance to win raffles with prizes like cellphones or car seats.
Bronx borough president candidate Vanessa Gibson also made an appearance.
