Hundreds came out Tuesday to the 43rd precinct for the National Night Out.
The annual event is held to build better relations between the public and police officers.
Commissioner Bill Bratton, who announced his retirement Tuesday, was on hand to talk to the community about the importance of communicating with police officers.
Food, games and raffles were featured at the police and community gathering.
