9h agoThe NYPD has arrested 46-year-old Melvin Java in the fatal shooting of an elderly man in Highbridge.
Police say Java shot 80-year-old Marcelino Valerio in the head on West 168th Street in the Bronx on Sept. 17. They say they were patrolling the area on that night when they heard gun shots and found Valerio dead.
Java's charges include murder and manslaughter.
