A man has been arrested for stealing a gold-plated rose from the 9/11 memorial at a Manhattan church, according to police.

Authorities say 21-year-old Deikel Alcantara took the object from the St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street.

He has been charged with 3rd degree grand larceny.
