There was heavy police activity in a Highbridge neighborhood Saturday after the NYPD said a person barricaded themself with a knife inside an apartment.

There was heavy police activity in a Highbridge neighborhood Saturday after the NYPD said a person barricaded themself with a knife inside an apartment.
Police say they were called to 1146 Ogden Ave. just before noon. But it was not until nearly 4 p.m. that News 12 saw someone being taken away handcuffed to a stretcher. Police later said the man was taken into custody.
It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.
Police cars and the NYPD's hostage negotiation team lined up the street as neighbors appeared shocked upon learning one of their fellow tenants allegedly barricaded themself in an apartment.
