NYPD: Man charged with murder in deadly Morris Park shooting

Authorities 49-year-old Trevor Hughes was in front of his residence on Fowler Avenue when 36-year-old Lavar Davis shot him in the stomach.

A man accused of fatally shooting a person Saturday in Morris Park has been charged with murder, according to police.

Authorities 49-year-old Trevor Hughes was in front of his residence on Fowler Avenue when 36-year-old Lavar Davis shot him in the stomach.

Hughes was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

A witness told News 12 that the two got into an argument over a parking spot prior to the shooting.
