NYPD: Man fatally shot on Cross Bronx Expressway

The victim was involved in an accident with an unknown male that shot him and fled the scene in a grey Toyota Rav-4, according to investigators.

The NYPD says a 40-year-old man was fatally shot on the Cross Bronx Expressway on Friday.

They found the victim near the scene of a car crash by Jerome Avenue around 11 p.m. He was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Law enforcement officials added after further investigation, the victim was involved in an accident with an unknown male that shot him and fled the scene in a grey Toyota Rav-4.

No arrests have been made at this time.
