13h agoPolice say a man is dead after a late night shooting in Brownsville.
The NYPD responded to 37 New Lots Ave. at around 10:20 p.m. and found Reginald Thawney, 50, on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Thawney was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It's unclear what lead up to the shooting or the whereabouts of the shooter.
