The NYPD is searching for a man linked to a robbery at a Staten Island bodega late Tuesday.
Police report a man entered a grocery/bodega on 345 Victory Blvd. Tuesday at 5 p.m. and struck the 54-year-old male store worker. According to officers, the suspect struck the worker multiple times with a glass bottle, grappled with the victim and then threw him to the ground and choked him until he was unconscious.
The suspect removed $2,000 from the cash register and fled on foot.
The victim regained consciousness a short time later and was transported to Richmond University Medical Center where he was treated for multiple lacerations to his head.
