NYPD: Man shot in chest near Highbridge firehouse
Authorities say the 35-year-old victim has been hospitalized for treatment.

A man was shot in the chest Friday afternoon around 4 p.m. in front of a building on Ogden Avenue in Highbridge, according to police.
They say the victim managed to make his way to the firehouse down the street before collapsing inside.
Police told News 12 that the male shooter ran away from the scene wearing dark clothing and a face mask.
Authorities say the 35-year-old victim has been hospitalized for treatment.
News 12 spoke with a Highbridge parent off-camera who said she is scared for her family’s safety. Her children go to school right next to where the shooting happened and often play in the playground around the same time that the shooting happened.
